3D printing has now been added to Kail’s arsenal. Our Mark Forged Mark Two printer allows us to print plastic parts using either standard white nylon or Mark Forged Onyx, a nylon based plastic that uses chopped carbon fibre to improve its mechanical properties. This printer also uses continuous fibre reinforcement which allows us to create parts stronger than aluminium. Reinforcement materials include Carbon Fibre, Kevlar or Fibreglass each offering their own unique benefits.
With a print bed size of 320mm x 132mm x 154mm and a layer height of 100 microns this is the ideal way to produce both prototype and end user plastic parts which are high quality, high tolerance and high strength.
